a big boy is in this...he has been supporting at 42.....then he pushed on last thursday on last friday.....and support at 43.....let's see what is his new support....I am pretty sure we should hit 50 cents soon...but whether it can be done before the full year result is out is harder now...before the latest cooling measures, it was highly probable to hit 50 cents and we can see if the boss would announce bonus issue when reporting full year result.....now don't look likely but then anything is possible....the stock market still in bullish phase....and I am very sure the Dec sales for the property companies must be good....govt always like that if the sales good they announce cooling measures....on 15 jan 2013, ura will announce dec sales....would be very good...

stingy company pay little dividend to share holders....another metro holding case.
vested
The main differences between Sing Holdings as oppose to Metro on dividend payments are
1. Metro holding had a lot of cash $$ whereas Sing Holding has little cash and not able to give good dividend. Will have to assess after "The Laurels" obtian TOP and see if they're "Stingy".
2. Metro Holding paid the major shareholder Jopie Ong obscene remuneration. However, Sing Holding paid to slightly high remuneration to the major shareholders, Lee family members.
By the way, the last traded price of Sing Holdings was 43 cents and I'm expecting it to come down further due to the latest property cooling measures announced on Friday.
Vested in Sing Holdings but not metro
In my opinion, the chances of bonus issue is pretty unlikely based on the last transacted price of 43 cents + latest property cooling measures as well as the amended "Rule 838 of the SGX-ST Listing Manual requiring listed companies to ensure that the daily weighted average share price, adjusted for a bonus share issue is not less than S$0.50".
As for special dividend, I'm not too optimistic as well. I'll be happy if Sing Holdings is willing to pay 1.5 cents final dividend for FY2012 given their net debt per share at 70 cents or net gearing of 148% as per 3Q FY2012. Anyway, I'll try to wait till "The Laurels" obtain the TOP in 3Q FY2013 hopefully the TOP is earlier. Any insider inform of the current development status?? Perhaps should check with Lian Beng, the main contractor
I agreed that Dec 2012 sale of new residential units should be good but based on the caveat launched for "The Laurels" there is only 1 sub sale but no new developer sale
