Ha Ha .. why not ? Anything is possible. Just because we cant do it, does not mean that others cant do it. And just because others can do it does not mean that we can also do it.

I gave you the example of Comba last week.

The result was announced during lunch. It then gapped upwards after lunch.

If one has bought on the gap after lunch, one would still be able to sit on another 9% of gain the next day.

The question is whether you are willing to act on the info and whether you happened to see the news or the movement on the chart ...

Such opportunity does not come along too often and people would say that it's luck :P

And what about Zhongwang, it gapped 25% after suspension. Then it was suspended for a few weeks. When it traded, it dropped 25%. it then announces positive profits and is now up 25%. Dare to trade ?

For this knowledge, I cannot expose in the forum and I don't expect I will teach someone. One of my classmate of my university found out my phone number from my friend and asked me to have a free lunch with him and his son. I knew his intention is to ask me to teach him and his son(now studying in Stanford ?) how to invest. I refused his invitation. I just asked him to read my posting in forum and send him the book list.

i;ve come across many such professors before... they amuse me nowadays...

TOL:-

If this is a bull market, then it make sense to buy & hold.

If this is a bear market, it makes sense to sell or even short the market.

If this is a trendless market, it make sense to take any profits especially if those are Swing Positions.

So is this a bull, bear or trendless markets ?

My gut feel is that this is a trendless so it's better to take any swing position profits. If I dont take those profits, it may not be there anymore...

HSI 21000 is crucial. If breaks, it will be BULL, otherwise it's trendless.

Just a guess from a noob.

Let me rephrase the question, what will change your gut feeling to BULL?

Ha Ha ... just on top of my head :-

1) When there's a sharp decline for a few days to weed out the weak players
2) A few days of decline would also have touched those 8% Stop Losses, that a lot of investors like to key in
3) People screaming for the end of the world again (there's always something to worry about - Peter Lynch)

My gut feel is that the next two years would be trendless to bearish, just like the period after the AFC, while Earnings tries to catch up to Valuations.

Stock-picking and Investing Themes would be crucial. There are money on the sidelines but they will only buy if you have a good story. So make sure that your story is a good one.. ;)
