Goldman Sachs (GS) 01 (Jun 08 - Apr 10)

I think it is unlikely that the bonus will be higher than revenue.

That will have a huge impact on cashflow, won't it?

If we assume that GS is make up of bankers, traders, brokers (those that will get the bulk of the bonus), we can safely assume that there will be a P&L associated with it. We can safely assume that the middle and back office folks aren't getting as much.

What is the chances that a loss making individual will still get a bonus? (Maybe it happens, I won't know. But, I think these hungry power, profit making people are going to give the middle finger to the one who lose money .....for dragging their profits down)
1. Always wait for the setup. NO SETUP; NO TRADE

2. The trend will END but I don't know WHEN.

for those who consistently fail to bring in the money... natural attrition will occur... these weak links will simply fade into oblivion.... i think the successful in-house traders(ie. dealers) will get the bulk of the bonuses...seems fair to me...

Ok. I just checked with somebody inside GS.

A big amount of the bonus is in Shares and not Cash.

Goldman Sachs' God's Work Comments Are "Truly Unsettling" (GS)

Goldman Sachs' (GS) latest public relations offensive involves its executives saying their capitalistic endeavors are not just tolerable, but spiritually beatifying.

CEO Lloyd Blankfein is recently said to have said he's "doing God's work" by raising money for clients and investing in businesses, according to the Sunday Times.
