TOL:-

1) When a company does a Rights Issue at a deep discount to it's last price, what are the consequences to that company, especially when the share price subsequently rebounds steeply ?

If this is really a bear market rally, would I be alert enough to sell when the market head downwards ?

Buying on Dips has been the right way to go for the past 6 months. I have almost forgotten about other Strategies or to have a Stop Loss now ..

i'd look out for resistance levels and reactions to of prices at those levels...to decide if market has turned... afraid it will be rear mirror judgement...dont know of any other way to obtain confirmation...

They are tightening the screws on Iran now. What are the consequences ?

Iran has a lot of crude but not the refined product. Any sanction would certainly would prevent the refined product from reaching Iran. Does that mean that the refined product would be hitting the market ? And since Iran would not be exporting crude oil either, I guess crude oil prices would also go up in price ...

Doesn't it make sense for them to push crude prices down first before they tighten the screws on Iran?

Sure, the oil market is big enough not to be manipulated ... LOVL

Where are the BBs heading ?

Asian Equities and Property have rebounded. Can it continue to go much higher ? Would the BBs start buying puts on the Asian indices and start shorting Asian Equities ?,

Or would they be heading to the current "distressed" assets eg. US, European and Japanese Residential and Commercial Properties, Commodities ( Natural Gas ? ), Currencies ( USD? ) etc..

Suddenly, everything is expensive again .. :?

So if the market actually turn downwards, would I be smart enough to cut my losses or would I still be blindly buying on the dip, as that was the way to go in the past 6 months ?

H W,

This is an important question which all serious investors must address. No easy answer though. Would market comparison give us a head up? Think of SSEC, NIKK and KOSPI and watch how they perform in the coming weeks. Will have to wait for SSEC to re-open after the long break.

Need to remind myself that this is a trading market. It's rangebund with a slight -ve bias.

Therefore, I should take any small coffee profits. If I dont take my profits, someone else will. Worst still, I may even compound the problem by adding to the position

Make sense or not ? When the Dow go up 150 points, the people here are running out to buy stocks. When the Dow is down 150 points, the people here are panicking and selling stocks.

Everyone's very panicky... and yet very greedy at the same time...
