The deeper conditioning

Then there is the deeper conditioning, such as an aggressive attitude towards life. Aggression implies a sense of dominance, of seeking power, possessions, prestige. One has to go very deeply to be completely free of that, because it is very subtle, taking many different forms.

One may think one is not aggressive, but when one has an ideal, an opinion, an evaluation, verbal and non-verbal, there is a sense of assertiveness which gradually becomes aggressive and violent...

Another form of conditioning is that of comparison. One compares oneself with what one thinks is noble or heroic, with what one would like to be, as opposed to what one is. The comparative pursuit is a form of conditioning; again, it is extraordinarily subtle. I compare myself with somebody who is a little more intelligent or more beautiful physically.

Secretly or openly, there is a constant soliloquy, talking to oneself in terms of comparison. Observe this in yourself.

Nothing needs to be fixed. Everything is unfolding perfectly.

So when you stand in your now accepting that all is well, then from that vibration, you become surrounded by more and more evidence that all is well.

But when you're convinced that things are broken, that there is pollution, or that things have gone wrong, or that the government is doing conspiracies... then what happens is you get caught up in that vibration, and you begin to manifest that kind of stuff, and then you say, "See, I told you that things were going wrong."

Whatever you seek in the external world is present within you.

There is nothing outside that is not within. Love is your true nature. Nothing can really exist in this world without love. You are an embodiment of love. Forgetting this reality, you are craving for mundane things.

What you have to aspire for, what you have to experience and enjoy in this world is love and love alone. Other than love, nothing is permanent. Love is present in all names and all forms. It is eternal, non-dual and blissful.

You should not be selective in sharing your love...lavishing it on the near and dear ones and being indifferent to others. If you are immersed in a dualistic feeling, you cannot experience non-dual bliss. A man with a dual mind is half blind. You should identify yourself with others and experience unity.

The little ones still remember how to use the power of their imagination. They are still engaged in the utilization of their imagination -- that is one of the reasons that keeps them so exhilarated.

Just Breathe

Expand your mind to embrace the possibility that all you have to do in order to fulfill your destiny, your reason for being, is breathe. That's right, just breathe.

From our limited perspectives, we think we are not enough. We think we must do more, be more and have more in order to justify our existence. But if we are alive, our existence is justified. Not only justified, but wanted and valued.

Just because you don't value yourself, just because you don't accept yourself exactly as you are, does not mean God doesn't value you. God, Source Energy, values you, exactly as you are, because exactly as you are is exactly as it is meant to be. Your existence itself is fulfilling a greater desire and purpose set by your Higher Self and Source Energy.

It's a natural result of life to do more, be more and have more. You can't help but expand. An infant, perfect as it is, can't help but absorb, grow, learn and become more. You would never look at an infant and devalue it or belittle it because it's not an adult yet. You know the infant is perfect, as is, and you know that perfection will continue to evolve and become more than its current perfected state.

It's only when we come from a place of not-enoughness that doing, being and having more becomes a necessity in order to feel better about ourselves and about our place in this world. When we come from a place of knowing who we are, knowing our worth, we realize it's not a necessity, it's simply a natural inevitability. We realize we are perfect exactly as we are.

We no longer strive to do, be and have more because we're trying to justify our existence, we relax into the flow of our perfected being and let expansion happen naturally and effortlessly.

We simply breathe, and we know we are good. We simply breathe, and we know we are worthy. We simply breathe, and we know we are fulfilling our destiny.

Just breathe.

Undertake spiritual practices that help you know your Self.

There are a number of bulbs glowing in an auditorium. Bulbs are different, but the current is the same. Similarly, it is the one Principle, that makes different bodies shine.

Awareness of this principle will help you appreciate the Divinity in all beings. Divinity is not confined to a particular place. It neither comes nor goes. It is present everywhere at all times. Turn your mind inward, develop Divine Vision. Realize the Divine Light present in one and all.

The danger of conditioning

Now, if you are at all sensitive, at all serious, you will not only be aware of your conditioning but you will also be aware of the danger it results in, what brutality and hatred it leads to.

Why, then, if you see the danger of your conditioning, don’t you act? Is it because you are lazy, laziness being lack of energy? Yet you will not lack energy if you see an immediate physical danger like a snake in your path, or a precipice, or a fire. Why, then, don’t you act when you see the danger of your conditioning?

If you saw the danger of nationalism to your own security, wouldn’t you act?The answer is you don’t see.

Your life is right now! It's not later! It's not in that time of retirement.

It's not when the lover gets here. It's not when you've moved into the new house. It's not when you get the better job. Your life is right now. It will always be right now. You might as well decide to start enjoying your life right now, because it's not ever going to get better than right now--until it gets better right now!

The six inner enemies - desire, anger, greed, infatuation, pride and jealousy are responsible for one's misconduct and suffering.

If one behaves in the same way as animals, in what way is one superior to them? When one makes proper use of intellect, one will not suffer. All matters relating to the world are like passing clouds.

When the Divine is present in everyone and everywhere, how is that one faces hardship and misery? The reason is that one has filled their heart with bestial tendencies. One has to drive them out and cleanse the heart.

For instance, in a tumbler filled with water, if you want to fill it with milk, the water has to be poured out. Similarly in order to fill your heart with noble feelings, you have to get rid of the evil qualities.

Freedom from conditioning

What is important is the total, earnest intention to find out if your mind is conditioned so that you discover your conditioning, and do not just say that your mind is or is not conditioned.

When you look into a mirror you see your face as it is; you may wish that some parts of it were different, but the actual fact is shown in the mirror. Now, can you look at your conditioning in a similar way? Can you be totally aware of your conditioning without the desire to alter it?

You are not aware of it totally when you wish to change it, when you condemn it or compare it with something else. But when you can look at the fact of your conditioning without comparison, without judgement, then you are seeing it as a total thing, and only then is there a possibility of freeing the mind from that conditioning.
