If we are not familiar with our own conditioning

So it seems to me that if we are to bring about a fundamental change, it is first necessary to understand the background in which we have been brought up, the pattern in which the mind operates. If we do not understand that pattern, if we are not familiar with our own conditioning, if the whole trend of our education, in which the mind is caught, is not understood, then we merely follow a tradition, which invariably leads to mediocrity.

Tradition invariably cripples and dulls the mind. So it is imperative, surely, to bring about a fundamental change within ourselves because, though we may be very clever and know a great deal, most of us are very mediocre, empty, shallow, inwardly insufficient, are we not?

And to bring about such a change, it is necessary to understand the totality of our background. Until we understand that background, however much we may struggle to change ourselves, it will lead us nowhere.

Love even those whom you consider wicked. In fact, there is nobody who is wicked in this world. It is because of delusion that you consider some as good and a few others wicked.

Develop noble feelings and follow the path of truth. Do not indulge in vain gossip. Do not entertain bad feelings or use bad words. Do not hurt others.

Instead, sanctify your time by chanting the Divine Name. There is nothing sweeter in this world than the Divine Name. The Divine Names that you chant purifies the hearts of many. Use only sacred words and sing the glory of the Divine.

In doing so, you would have rendered a great help to the whole world. Make proper use of your time. Help everybody. When you help others, you will certainly achieve positive results.

Flawed Premises Can Attract True Unwanted Evidence...

Flawed premises that you have picked up along your physical trail can fall by the wayside, one by one, and you can return to the understanding that is at the core of that which you are. (But in order to discover or understand a false or flawed premise, you have to stand back far enough and reconnect with who-you-really-are before you can see it.)

If you were to hear a false premise again and again, until you yourself began to believe and repeat it, now your own activation of the contradictory Vibration would interfere with your own sense of intelligence, and you would begin to attract evidence of your lack of intelligence, in effect proving the false premise to be true.

And so, it becomes increasingly hard for you to call this a false premise when the evidence seems to be telling you that it is true, for over time you come to believe it is true.

The conscious, the unconscious, and conditioning

What is the mind? There is the conscious mind and the unconscious mind.

The conscious mind is occupied with the everyday duties—it observes, thinks, argues, attends to a job, and so on. But are we aware of the unconscious mind?

The unconscious mind is the repository of racial instinct, it is the residue of this civilization, of this culture, in which there are certain urges, various forms of compulsion.

And can this whole mind, the unconscious as well as the conscious, uncondition itself? Now, why do we divide the mind as the conscious and the unconscious? Is there such a definite barrier between the conscious and the unconscious mind? Or are we so taken up with the conscious mind that we have never considered or been open to the unconscious?

And can the conscious mind investigate, probe into the unconscious, or is it only when the conscious mind is quiet that the unconscious promptings, hints, urges, compulsions come into being? So the unconditioning of the mind is not a process of the conscious or of the unconscious; it is a total process which comes about with the earnest intention to find out if your mind is conditioned.

Other's Opinion Are Less Important Than My Personal Guidance System...

You did not intend to use the opinions of your parents to measure against your beliefs, desires, or actions in order to determine the appropriateness of them. Instead, you knew (and still remembered, long after you were born) that it was the relationship between the opinion (or knowledge) of the Source within you and your current thoughts, in any moment, that would offer you perfect guidance in the form of emotions.

You did not intend to replace your Emotional Guidance System with the opinions of your parents even if they were in harmony with their Emotional Guidance System in the moment of their trying to guide you.

It was much more important to you to recognize the existence of your own Guidance System, and to utilize it, than to be deemed correct by, or to find approval from, others.

it is not easy to ignore other's opinion of us... most of us have the need to "belong", to "associate"...else "ex-communication" would not have been so feared in the old catholic era...
but a healthy dosage of self confidence could assist one to find the balance between being too eccentric and unduly influenced by society's expectations.

Unity is indispensable, be it for the wealth and prosperity of a nation or the peace and happiness in a family.

The whole world will be plunged into unrest and chaos in the absence of unity. Unity confers peace and bliss. Disunity leads to discontent and restlessness, and makes one forget divinity.

Peace is what one has to aspire and pray for. In fact, you do not need to go anywhere in search of peace. Each one of you is the embodiment of peace. Every human being is a personification of peace, all Names of the Divine are equally auspicious.

Searching for Peace outside yourself is like acting like a foolish person who searches for his spectacles, while wearing them right over his nose.
