Grasshoppers - good entertainers, no doubt. No need to be embarassed lah - different people different tastes. I'm sure there are people who're Spice Girls and Bananarama fans and dying to follow your example and come out of the closet.

Speaking of Zoe Tay - paiseh a bit off-topic but - some years ago I was on the MRT, and then on came a bunch of TCS crew, Terence Cao and Jacelyn Tay "郑秀珍". They were filming some local drama serial, so Jacelyn sat down maybe a seat away from me.

I took a look at her and wahlao - I can't believe any local can be any "whiter / fairer" than that. Not just the face, but the arms and legs. Macham those snowskin mooncake like that. Singapore so hot, how she keep herself so fair sia? Especially since she's acting and that means she's gotta have to go into the sun a fair bit.

Maybe she coat herself with snowskin mooncake powder at night.

Okay, paiseh for the OT. :D

This talk is getting high-spirited. Fun indeed. Afterall juz waiting for the market to stabilize mah.

Zoe Tay is not fair. Always think she has too much of a South-East-Asian look or Southern Chinese look of GuangXi or Yunnan. This does not mean that she is not pretty.
I think Fann Wong is fair.
Agree Jacelyn Tay is.

Beyond - is this the group whose lead singer fell off the stage and passed on??

How many of U have been to live Chinese concerts, be it in Singapore, China, HK, Taipeh or anywhere else???

Somehow Chinese men prefer woman with fairer skin?? Is it a colonial mentality or due to subtle programming that "dark skin = family work under sun last time = low standing in society?"

When I lived in Taiwan, the Taiwanese women really have a thing of not getting into the sun and trying to be fair at all costs...but I digress..

Anyway, to contribute my thing to the Chinese Songs thread, anyone still remember Wan Fang万芳? One of my all time favorite Chinese Female singer. She is not very pretty, nor famous but she sure can sing.. :)

One of my favorite songs from her..试着了解 (good for couples that is on verge of breakups..  )
