Gold enthusiasm wanes in China

Gold demand in China - the world's biggest consumer - plunged by more than a fifth in the third quarter as record prices and a sluggish economy dented consumption, especially for jewelry.

Total demand fell by 22 percent to 218 tons in the three months ending in September, according to Bloomberg.

Jewelry consumption tumbled 29 percent to 130 tons, while for bars and coins there was a 9 percent drop to 69 tons.

Gold is too expensive and cannot be bought!
Young people in China are crazy about "gold wrapped in silver" and rush to buy it.
The international gold price reaches a new high!
Affordable alternative to "gold wrapped in silver" is overtaking the curve.

3 Reasons Gold Could Keep Rising

by Karim Rahemtulla

1. Our fiscal situation is out of control.
2. Interest rates aren’t budging (despite the Fed’s efforts).
3. The conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.

You Want to Own Gold As We Head into 2025

by Brett Eversole

Global central banks are massive players in the gold market. They buy to fill their vaults and protect their nations from foreign interference.

The boom we’ve seen so far is all thanks to central banks. But retail investors will show up to the party – and it’ll likely happen soon.

They’ll get sucked in by the allure of easy profits. And that’s what will cause the eventual crescendo to this gold bull market.
