<Research>Macquarie: Investors Overreact to Potential Delay of NVIDIA Blackwell Chip Shipments Macquarie Equity Research published a report, opining that investors overreacted to potential problems with the design and supply of NVIDIA (NVDA.US) ’s Blackwell, while believing that GB200's delivery volume in 2025 will remain intact.
Yet, if the delivery of servers in 4Q24 is close to zero, there will be short-term risks, forecast the broker, suggesting that major GB200 assembly companies such as Hon Hai and Quanta have about 5% revenue downside.
The broker added that TSMC (2330.TT) is currently its top buy in Taiwan techs.
The broker said its channel checks suggested NVIDIA has already started to ship Blackwell samples, and production is on track to ramp in 2H24.
Its base case suggested that GB200 is the highest priority of NVIDIA.
Furthermore, NVIDIA has launched the B200A to replace the B100 as its new main product.
The B200A will be delivered in 1Q25, and the broker expected to supply a total of 500,000 high-quality B200 chips this year.
