Europe: 2023 Earnings
In Europe, only about half of the companies in the Euro Stoxx 600 Index have reported third-quarter results.
By the time they have all reported, earnings are expected to be about 11.4% lower year-on-year, while sales are expected to be 7.7% lower.
Future estimates suggest this earnings recession is expected to continue until the second quarter of 2024.
However, the rate of decline is expected to slow during the current quarter and the first quarter of 2024.
