China to Set Up 4.8M Charging Pillars by 2020

As of the third quarter of 2015, there were more than 40,000 public charging pillars for electric cars in China, Xinhua News Agency reported.

According to the planning, China will set up nearly 4.8 million charging pillars by 2020.

China Oct Passenger Car Sales Volume Said to Rise 13.3% YoY

China reported a year-on-year increase of 13.3% for passenger car sales volume in October, with vehicle sales of 2.2216 million units and production of 2.1887 million units, China Securities Journal quoted from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers as saying.

Car loans hit $1 trillion for first time

US Auto Loans

Over the six months through September, more than $110 billion of auto loans have been originated to borrowers with credit scores below 660, the bottom cutoff for having a credit score generally considered "good," according to a report Thursday from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Of that sum, about $70 billion went to borrowers with credit scores below 620, scores that are considered "bad."

China: Passenger Car Sales Volume in Nov Jumps 23.7% YoY

China Association of Automobile Manufacturers announced that China's vehicle sales amounted to 2.5088 million units in November, with production volume of 2.5442 million.

Sales volume of passenger car reached 2.2 million, representing a year-on-year rise of 23.7%.

U.S. auto sales in 2015 set record after strong December

For full year 2015, U.S. sales hit a record of 17.47 million vehicles, breaking the mark of 17.41 million vehicles in 2000, according to Autodata Corp.
