What does it mean to die?

What does it mean to die? To give up everything.

Death cuts you off with a very, very, very sharp razor from your attachments, from your gods, from your superstitions, from your desire for comfort next life and so on.

I am going to find out what death means because it is as important as living. So how can I find out, actually, not theoretically, what it means to die?

I actually want to find out, as you want to find out. I am speaking for you, so don't go to sleep.

What does it mean to die? Put that question to yourself.

While we are young, or when we are very old, this question is always there. It means to be totally free, to be totally unattached to everything that man has put together,

or what you have put together totally free. No attachments, no gods, no future, no past.

You don't see the beauty of it, the greatness of it, the extraordinary strength of it while living to be dying.

You understand what that means? While you are living, every moment you are dying, so that throughout life you are not attached to anything. That is what death means.

Living is Dying

So living is dying. You understand?

Living means that every day you are abandoning everything that you are attached to. Can you do this?

A very simple fact but it has got tremendous implications. So that each day is a new day.

Each day you are dying and incarnating. There is tremendous vitality, energy there because there is nothing you are afraid of.

There is nothing that can hurt. Being hurt doesn't exist.

Most people die with big regrets. Do this and you won’t be one of them.

These Two Paths To Retirement Are Completely Different

We can all take one of many different paths to reach our retirement. The question is, which path is the right path for you?

Some advocate for the short and direct path to retirement by earning a ton of money and living off a very small portion of it.

Others want us to save a little bit over a long career and eventually retire when we hit the traditional retirement age.

Then there are the people that claim they’ll never retire.

Which way to retirement is the right way?

How Much You Really Need to Retire by Jane Bennett Clark

Spending on food drops in retirement, not because retirees are eating less but because they have more time to shop and compare prices.

Many Just Guessing How Much Money They'll Need In Retirement
27 June 2014

Have you calculated how much money you’ll need in retirement or are you just making a wild guess? Chances are the latter.

Half of workers are guessing at their retirement savings needs, and only 11% have used a retirement calculator or worksheet, according to a national survey of 4,143 full-time and part-time workers commissioned by the non-profit Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies.

“What’s scarier is that these findings are relatively consistent across all three generations – Baby Boomers, Generation X and Millennials,” says Transamerica Center president Catherine Collinson

Many people may find calculators difficult or intimidating, but they shouldn’t, she says. There are many free calculators available. Check financially oriented websites such as bankrate.com or TransamericaCenter.org, she says.

Be prepared to answer a few questions about your current income and your spouse’s as well as expectations of future salary increases and your current level of savings, she says.

“Setting a retirement goal, saving and planning is as much a journey as it is a destination,” Collinson says.

People are planning retirement decades in advance, and things can change along the way, including the economy, she says. So it’s wise to update your retirement goal every year or so.
