SIA Engineering

Dear all,

Apparently, I may have rubbed some people the wrong way by my writing and my research; judging from cif5000's response to my reply to MrEngineer.

I've thought about it at length and decided that if my writing style and things that I say do actually make people feel uncomfortable, such that they have to use "soliloquy" (a literature term, no doubt) and to comment that it is "incomprehensible" to write so much about "something so simple" (while I view investing as anything but simple), then perhaps the best choice is for me to leave this forum, and find my own way on my investing journey.

Thanks for all the comments and contributions so far from forumers such as MM, Winston and Kennynah. Hope to be able to meet up with you guys someday.....you continue to be an inspiration to me.

As for myself, I hope to be able to find my feet in investing and become a better investor, without being so intrusive as to impose my opinions or style of investing on anyone.

Wish everyone all the best! Cheers!

Yours Sincerely,
Musicwhiz

Hi MW, I'm looking forward to the completion of the SIAEC analysis on your blog.

Personally, I am following mrEgineer's idea of KIV stocks, and waiting for a bear market or recession to buy...people investing in different styles can still benefit from fundamental research, regardless of whether you are buying for dividends, growth, market timing....whatever..

In my opinion, if someone is sarcastic or rude on an internet forum, you can just ignore them.
I wait until there is money lying in the corner, and all I have to do is go over there and pick it up.

This is a free forum to bounce ideas off each other. The TA and FA guys respect each other enough to give each other enough breathing space. :D

If someone is rude, one should just ignore them. All comments are welcome here in this forum (except comments that border on personal attacks).

MW - Continue to do what you think is right. We are all here to learn from one another. :)

I was just trying to have an engaging discussion because I believe I can benefit alot from it. No intention at all to criticize or brand anybody with names.

MW, do stay here. If u leave this forum, there are probably not going to have anymore FA forums in singapore anymore. If I have offended you in anyway, pls forgive me.

Look forward to engage with u more in the future. Cheers.

Dear All,

I dont really follow SIA Engineering and missed some of the exchanges here.

As far as I'm concerned, everyone is welcomed here and everyone is entitled to their opinion, as long as it's not too offensive. ( We like to think that he have a high level of tolerance here  ).

Having said that, different people have different values. What is acceptable to one person can be perceived to be highly offensive by another. Therefore, we may need to be mindful of what we are writing at all times.

However, with the use of devices like the iphone or smartphones to reply to the forum, it's also very difficult to write "polite" comments. Such devices leads one to write short sentences and sometimes, that can be interpreted as rude, although there was no intention to be rude in the first place.

Take care,
Winston
