To look at life not as a problem

First, we must be very clear that you and the speaker are treating life not as a problem but as a tremendous movement. If your brain is trained to solve problems, then you will treat this movement as a problem to be solved.

Is it possible to look at life with all its questions, with all its issues, which is tremendously complex, to look at it not as a problem, but to observe it clearly, without bias, without coming to some conclusion which will then dictate your observation?

You have to observe this vast movement of life, not only your own particular life, but the life of all humanity, the life of the earth, the life of the trees, the life of the whole world—look at it, observe it, move with it, but if you treat it as a problem, then you will create more problems.

Fear is the emotion that comes forth when you are choosing a thought that is not up to speed with the desire that you hold.

You're going to feel it and you're going to feel it stronger. It is the reason that the word "terror" or "terrorist", or "terrorizing" is such an appropriate word. It is not only in the action that you witness, or that you hear about, it is in the speculation that begins to run rampant.

The power of the terrorists is much greater in things that never come to be than it ever is in the things that do come to be.

You must realize that the divine current that flows and functions in every living being is the One Universal Entity.

When you desire to enter the Mansion of the Divine, you are confronted by two closed doors: The desire to praise yourself and the desire to defame others.

The doors are bolted by envy and there is also the huge lock of egoism preventing entry. So if you are earnest, you have to resort to the key of love and open the lock. Then remove the bolt and the doors are wide open. The education you receive must train you to be successful in this difficult operation.

Multi-Dimensional Purpose

Your being experiences life on many different levels. Just because you may only be conscious of one level does not mean that there are not many other levels that exist.

We are constantly assimilating, absorbing, transmitting, receiving and emitting information and experiences on a multitude of levels that we cannot begin to comprehend with our human brains. Even our bodies receive and transmit information that is beyond our conscious awareness. We know this because we don't have to consciously make our hearts beat, our blood flow or our cells regenerate.

We must recognize that there is something greater at work, that even though we might perceive an experience as insignificant, that there is more than meets the eye. The same is true for all experiences, including ones we label as "good" or "bad". There is always something greater at work. Trust that it is for the greater experience of life itself, and you will know that you not only have a purpose, but that you ARE the purpose.

Not to have a single problem

From childhood we are trained to have problems. When we are sent to school, we have to learn how to write, how to read, and all the rest of it. How to write becomes a problem to the child.

Please follow this carefully. Mathematics becomes a problem, history becomes a problem, as does chemistry. So the child is educated, from childhood, to live with problems—the problem of God, problem of a dozen things. So our brains are conditioned, trained, educated to live with problems.

From childhood we have done this. What happens when a brain is educated in problems? It can never solve problems; it can only create more problems. When a brain that is trained to have problems, and to live with problems, solves one problem, in the very solution of that problem, it creates more problems.

From childhood we are trained, educated to live with problems and, therefore, being centred in problems, we can never solve any problem completely. It is only the free brain that is not conditioned to problems that can solve problems. It is one of our constant burdens to have problems all the time.

Therefore our brains are never quiet, free to observe, to look. So we are asking: Is it possible not to have a single problem but to face problems? But to understand those problems, and to totally resolve them, the brain must be free.

Your work is to go forth into this physical environment looking for things that are a vibrational match to joy, connecting to Source Energy, and then following with the inspired action.

Let me call upon you to give up two evils from your mind on this Holy Day: Self-praise and talking scandal.
Adopt one habit: The habit of loving service to the distressed.

If you spend all your time and energy in worldly comfort and sensual delight, you are disgracing the human existence. Consider this body as a temple of the Divine where He resides. Keep it clean, fresh and fragrant through developing Compassion and Love.

Use the Temple of the Divine, only for holy thoughts, words and deeds. Do not demean it by using it for low, trivial and unholy tasks. Wherever you are, whatever you do, have this resolution steady and strong.

You're Perfectly All Right

If you don't wake up every morning bursting with energy to greet the day...
If you don't ooze joy out of your pores...
If you don't make enough money...
If you don't feel healthy and whole...
If you can't seem to find your place in this world...
If you feel sad, lonely or lost...
If you aren't truly happy...

...there is nothing wrong with you.

That's right. Even if you are feeling all of the above, there is still NOTHING WRONG with you.

Stop beating yourself up for being where you are, no matter where that is. Stop thinking you should be somewhere else that you're not right now.

Or... go ahead and beat yourself up. That's ok too.

Allow yourself to be exactly as you are, right now, right here. No matter where you are in your evolution, you are in the perfect place, as you had planned to be.

Accept yourself, as is. Right now. Say, "I'm broke, but this is where I am and I accept it," or even, "My life sucks, but this is where I am and damn it, I accept it!"

Too often, in our quest to be enlightened, happy or fulfilled, we condemn where we are. It is the condemnation itself that holds us from experiencing the enlightenment, happiness or fulfillment we seek.

Allowing yourself to be exactly as you are, even if that means sad, angry, lonely, weak, etc., is the key to experiencing happiness, joy, abundance, strength, etc.

But regardless of how you feel or what you're experiencing, you're still perfectly all right.

Why can’t we…not seek an answer to a problem?

The answer is in the problem, not away from the problem. I go through the searching, analysing, dissecting process, in order to escape from the problem. But, if I do not escape from the problem and try to look at the problem without any fear or anxiety, if I merely look at the problem—mathematical, political, religious, or any other—and not look to an answer, then the problem will begin to tell me.

Surely, this is what happens. We go through this process and eventually throw it aside because there is no way out of it. So, why can’t we start right from the beginning, that is, not seek an answer to a problem?—which is extremely arduous, isn’t it? Because, the more I understand the problem, the more significance there is in it.

To understand, I must approach it quietly, not impose on the problem my ideas, my feelings of like and dislike. Then the problem will reveal its significance. Why is it not possible to have tranquillity of the mind right from the beginning?

The Divine is devoid of attachment and hatred. He comes on a Mission and is bent only on that task. His nature is to support the right and admonish the wrong. His task is to restore vision to man, to turn his footsteps along the path of morality and self-control, so that he may achieve self-knowledge.
