Right Action promotes peace and happiness, contentment and joy.

Today, we are in need of persons who have attained purity in all levels of consciousness. One can reach perfect bliss only when his/her heart becomes free from envy, egoism, greed and other evil traits.

We need persons who can recognize and relish the kinship and the identity that exists between man and man, as well as between one society and another. Righteous Action alone provides peace, contentment and joy.

I recently bought the Transformers soundtrack which featured New Divide by Linkin Park. My boy and I both loved the song and have been listening to it daily.

Just this past weekend, my nephew who is 16, was at my house. When I started playing Linkin Park, he displayed UTTER SHOCK and DISBELIEF that I would be listening to rock music. This I found a bit strange and also slightly insulted.. haha...

I reminded the nephew that when I was listening to hard rock and heavy metal, he wasn't even born.. :P, I guess that makes me feel old, haha... :D

Maybe the youngsters all think that the mid-30s should all be listening to some classic music, soothing songs.. etc... etc... and staying at home to rot.. haha..  :? :?

I guess our image of ourselves and their image of us is separated so widely like heaven and earth..

You guys ever faced this kind of image problem??

We are really inquiring into the whole human being

I would like now, if I may, to go into the problem of observing ourselves. When we observe ourselves we are not isolating ourselves, limiting ourselves, becoming self-centred, because, as we explained, we are the world and the world is us.

This is a fact. And when we, as human beings, examine the whole content of our consciousness, of ourselves, we are really inquiring into the whole human being—whether he lives in Asia, Europe, or America. So it is not a self-centred activity.

When we are observing ourselves, we are not becoming selfish, self-centred, becoming more and more neurotic, lopsided; on the contrary, we are examining, when we look at ourselves, the whole human problem of misery, conflict and the appalling things that man has made for himself and for others.

So it is very important to understand this fact that we are the world and the world is us. You may have superficial mannerisms, superficial tendencies, but basically all human beings throughout this unfortunate world go through misery, confusion, turmoil, violence, despair, agony.

So there is a common ground upon which we all meet. So when we observe ourselves, we are observing human beings.

From the narrow vision of the individual need, one must voyage out into the broad vision of the Universal.
When a drop of water falls into the ocean, it loses its narrow individualities, its name and form and assumes the form, name and taste of the ocean itself. If it seeks to live separately as a drop, it will soon evaporate and be reduced to non-existence.

Each one must become aware that he/she is part of the One Truth that encompasses everything in the Universe. Make the heart big and the mind pure, only then can peace and prosperity be established on earth.

The Gap Between Thought

You might not think you're strong, but you are.
You might not think you're loved, but you are.
You might not think you're beautiful, but you are.
You might not think you're successful, but you are.
You might not think you're rich, but you are.

Life is going so much better for you than you think. If you actually stop thinking for a moment, you might discover the truth about yourself.

Take some time every day to stop thinking. Do what you can to quiet your mind and allow yourself to just BE.

Out of the stillness and silence, in the gap between thoughts, clarity, truth and wisdom emerges.
