Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

especially that one that takes our breath away ... permanently...wahahahaha...

I picked up "The Nutcracker" at Kinokuniya@20% discount for cardholders. The paper engineering is amazing.
At present, CNBC has an advertisment of a nutcracker popping up on its website. Germany's 'nutcracking' industry is now 'endangered' because of Chinese imitations:

This story is abit dated. Unless China can get its quality control up to spec, it will produce goods that consumers know is inferior.

Famous German Teddy Bear Firm to Quit China
Reuters Jul 03, 2008

BERLIN—Steiff, the firm that has made teddy bears for over a century, said on Wednesday it planned to move production back from China to Germany because poor standards there left some of its stuffed toys in a sorry state.

Hi MM :D
Oh,yes I remember this article which was originally from the German daily, The Spiegel. This is because I collect Steiff teddy bears too. :D In fact, if one tracks amazon book buyers, some American customers have written that Sabuda pop-up books, now made in China, are inferior to the earlier editions which were produced in Mexico. These buyers could precisely pinpoint the faults in these Made-in-China popups

This is good news for the rest of the world.

We still have a means to survive. :)

The day, they can innovate, produce quality stuffs from the low margin stuffs to the high margin stuffs and at lower cost.... we are all screwed.
1. Always wait for the setup. NO SETUP; NO TRADE

2. The trend will END but I don't know WHEN.

Hi iam802 :D
Yes, indeed.

(Gotta borrow this thread to say this. I think there is a script running in the other thread "C'mmon in when you are bored". My PC hangs everytime I click on the thread. I notice this occurred after MM's long post.
K, watch tonite's telecast at 2330 at Starhub Channel 50. I'm not sure if they will continue the discussion.
If they do, it will enlighten me  )

Those parents out there with boys might know that Battle Strikers are all the rage now among boys. Battle Strikers are magnetically controlled spinning tops by MagNext toys from MEGA Brands.

Check out Toys R Us if you gonna buy one for Christmas, cos' you get a free striker with every starter pack. ;)

MM : your boy knows a simple game of "go lee" (marbles), played with those multi-colour center ones and the big white ones?
