First try cannot make it after 10mins.. need to do a 5km run, clear up the mind... then can solve it in 5mins.

Please see if my answer is correct.

Since every1's into puzzles.. here's one for you :D

Three people check into a hotel. They pay £30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager suddenly remembers that the room rate is £25 and gives £5 to the bellboy to return to the people. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that £5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets £2 and gives £1 to each person. Now each person paid £10 and got back £1. So they paid £9 each, totalling £27. The bellboy has £2, totalling £29. Where is the missing £1?

I don't think this is a puzzle....it is a misleading question by confusing the reader with incorrect summation.... :D

27 = hotel 25 + bellboy 2
3 = return change

interesting quiz...i heard about this "quiz" quite many years ago...and it is one of those that stuck in my mind..becos of the logic value of this simple yet tricky quiz....

expenditure = $27

tenants paid = $27 ( $9 x 3)

revenue = $27
hotel manager took $25
bellboy kept $2

pssst....shhh...dont tell people ok...i took the last $1...
