Dogs Can Smell Cancer
By Jenny Stocks / Source: Daily Mail

Daisy the labrador is hard at work on a project that could change your life and mine.

In her smart red jacket, she wanders around a metal carousel in a small centre outside Milton Keynes, sniffing at the different scents that are attached to its 12 spokes. Then she stops.

She's found what she's looking for and looks expectantly up at her handler -- she knows that when she recognises this specific smell, she will soon get an edible reward.

While Daisy enjoys the process (and her dog biscuits) her actions are more than just a game -- they have huge implications for all of us.

Because what this seven-year-old dog is sniffing is a selection of samples from a local hospital. And she has just located the only one that came from a cancer patient.

Daisy, quite simply, is being taught to sniff out cancer. She is one of the world's first bio-detection dogs -- trained animals that may one day revolutionise medical diagnosis.

Rats help Colombia sniff out deadly landmines

BOGOTA (Reuters) - In a laboratory on the grounds of a police-guarded complex, 11 white-furred rats wait their turn to impress trainers and perhaps receive a bit of sugar as reward.

The rodents could play an important role in making conflict-wracked Colombia safer. They are in the final stages of a training program to find landmines that kill or injure hundreds of people each year in Colombia.

The government project, which began in 2006, trains specially bred rats to detect the metals used in landmines, thousands of which have been laid during the country's decades-long conflict with left-wing guerrillas.

Colombian scientists decided to use rats because, like the dogs more traditionally used in land mine detection, they have a highly developed sense of smell. But the rats are lightweight and unlikely to detonate mines.

The Beasts Know It

If you know that all is well, you know all you need to know.

And if you know life is supposed to be fun, you know more than almost anybody else knows.

And if you know that the way you feel is your indicator of how connected you are to Source, then you know that which only a handful of Deliberate Creators, respective to the total population, really know.

The beasts all know it. Your animals know that all is well. Your animals live in the moment. They understand the power of their now. They expect the Universe to yield to them.

They don't worry or fret or conjure or make laws or rules or try to regulate. They are Pure Positive Energy.

Your beasts vibrate more on the Energy scale of contentment than of passion.

Their desire was set forth from Nonphysical, and continues to be set forth by those, like you, who want Energy balance, who want sustenance.

The difference between the beast and the human is that the beast is more general in its intent.

The human is usually less blended, usually less allowing of the Energy to flow, but is more specific.

And that is why the human is seen to be the Creator while the beast is more the balancer of Energy.

The Secret Life of Dogs

We have an extraordinary relationship with dogs – closer than with any other animal on the planet.

Where does this relationship come from?

In Siberia, a unique breeding experiment reveals the astonishing secret of how dogs evolved from wolves.

Swedish scientists demonstrate how the human/dog bond is controlled by a powerful hormone also responsible for bonding mothers to their babies.

Why are dogs so good at reading our emotions? Horizon meets Betsy, reputedly the world’s most intelligent dog, and compares her incredible abilities to those of children.
