Even though the price Capitaland paid is high, I am quite sure they would sell because of location. They are confident that with a good location, the units would sell. That's why they bid for the Bedok town site too. The site is just next to Junction 8, so they could do something to enhance the site value.

But one thing is that with govt trying to clamp down price, a govt-linked company paying a higher price for the land much higher than private developer looks hyprocrisy. Well they can defend themselves saying market forces......just like Mr Lee's view on Malay issue is personal beliefs....while others would have been invited to drink kopi.....actually no kopi, they just isolate you in a room...the mentally torturing would 'scare' you. No violation of human rights....no beatings no scars ^^
