KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 3): Kuantan Flour Mills Bhd (KFM) surged to an intra-day high of 54.5 sen, up 6%, before it retreated to close at 52.5 sen.
KFM has staged a sharp rebound in the mid last month, after it hit a low of 35.5 sen. The stock has gained 48% or 17 sen, from 35.5 sen in mid-October.
Prior to that, the stock had been on a declining trend, from its one-year high of 57 sen on April 2 this year.
In terms of earnings, KFM returned to the black with a net profit of RM488,000 in the first quarter ended June 30, 2014, from a net loss of RM1.5 million in the previous corresponding quarter.
Revenue however slipped 11.6% to RM9.7 million, from RM10.9 million previously.
