HB Global’s special audit to completed by Wednesday


KUALA LUMPUR: The special audit into the accounts of HB Global Ltd (formerly known as Sozo Global Ltd) for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2012, is expected to be completed by Wednesday.

The company said on Monday the deferment was due to additional information required by the special auditors BDO Governance Advisory Sdn Bhd, to support the finalisation of the report.

Initially, the report was expected to be completed by Aug 22, 2013 – which was within a three-month timeframe.

In May 2013, HB Global announced Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd had directed the company to immediately appoint a special auditor to undertake an investigation into the affairs of the company and in particular its financials and to identify any potential irregularities.
