Highly recommended:-

The books by Ekhart Tolle:-
1) Practising the Power of Now
2) Stillness Speaks
3) A New Earth

After you have read the above, then only read Power of Now. This was his first book but is a bit deep. Better to read the rest first..

Thanks Winston and Lena.

I just checked the library website. The Baghdad book is available for pickup. The three other books recommended by Winston seems too hot.. will need to either reserve it or pick it up from MPH tomorrow :)

The books by Neale Donald Walsch:-
Highly Recommended: Conversations with Gods Part 1 to 3

Neale Donald Walsch (also known as Neale Marshall-Walsch) (b. September 10, 1943 in Milwaukee) is an American author of the series Conversations with God. The books so far in the series are Conversations With God (books 1-3), Friendship with God, Communion with God, The New Revelations, Tomorrow's God, What God Wants, Home with God: In a Life That Never Ends, and his newest book, Happier than God.

Biography
Walsch was born in Milwaukee on September 10, 1943, and brought up as a Roman Catholic by a family who encouraged his quest for spiritual truth. He studied The Bible, the Rig Veda and the Upanishads. He says his books are not channelled, but rather that they are inspired by God and that they can help a person relate to Him from a modern perspective. The God in his books, for example, says that "there is nothing you have to do."

Walsch believes in a pantheistic God, who tries to communicate Himself as being unselfish. His vision an expansion and unification of all present theologies to render them more relevant to our present day and time. He created Humanity's Team as a spiritual movement whose purpose is to communicate and implement his New Spirituality beliefs, particularly that we are all one with God and one with life, in a shared global state of being.

Walsch has met with some criticism for what some see as appearing overly zealous in finding ways to make money for his spin-off organizations. He has also been met with much praise for what others see as a tremendous effort to help mankind

Career
Before the Conversations With God series in the early 1990s, Walsch suffered a series of crushing blows — a fire that destroyed all of his belongings, the break-up of his marriage, a car accident that left him with a broken neck. Once recovered but alone and unemployed, Walsch was forced to live in a tent in Jackson Hot Springs, just outside Ashland, Oregon, collecting and recycling aluminium cans in order to eat.

At the time, Walsch thought his life had come to an end. Despondent, Walsch began his writings after working his way out of homelessness following a short-lived job as a radio talk show host.

In 2003, the film Indigo, written by Neale Donald Walsch and James Twyman and directed by Stephen Simon was released. It chronicled the fictional story of the redemption of a grandfather, played by Walsch, through his granddaughter, who is an indigo child.

Conversations With God: The Movie opened in U.S. theaters Friday, October 27, 2006 and in Canada, November 10. The film was released on dvd February 27, 2007

All the books by Dr. Brian Weiss

Highly Recommended. It will blow you away. They are all supposedly true stories..

1) Many Lives, Many Masters
2) Only Love is Real
3) Messages from the Masters
4) Through Time into Healing
etc.

Brian Weiss, MD, a graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School, and founding chairman and chairman emeritus of the Department of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, is also America's leading authority in past-life regression therapy.

His background and extensive experience in traditional psychotherapy was set on a new course more than a decade ago when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. Astonished and initially skeptical, Weiss's skepticism eroded when his patient began to channel messages from "the space between lives," that contained remarkable revelations about Weiss's family and his dead son. Realizing that past-life regression presented potential as a powerful new therapy method, Weiss went on to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.

Weiss has authored several best-selling books based on his experience as a psychiatrist and healer. In his first book, Many Lives, Many Masters, he vividly describes the insights of a young patient named Catherine, who came to important realizations about the circumstances of her life today and the intricate thread of previous beings within her experience. In Through Time into Healing, he presents case studies that illustrate the healing potential of past-life regression therapy and several techniques for eliciting past life recall.

Only Love Is Real describes soulmates reunited, and Messages from the Masters explains how we can harness the awesome power of the ultimate force in the universe—love.

Weiss's work has been featured in numerous magazines, newspapers, and television shows, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King Live, 20/20, 48 Hours, and on the Discover Channel and CNN. He maintains a private practice in Miami.
