2009 Inauguration Photo - SUPER HI-DEF
This is absolutely the BEST in 'high definition'..... Really amazing.
Use the control at the top left to zoom and scroll. OR -
Zoom in ('double-click' an area) .....and watch it focus. Then zoom some more... and wait for focus.
What a surveillance tool this is!
This picture was taken with a robotic camera and weighs in at 1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera)
It was a Canon that pulled together over 200 individual shots.
Each zoom in takes a second to focus ...and then you can see some amazing reactions.
Bonus points if you find Yo-Yo Ma .... taking a picture with his iPhone. Here's the link:

IT Gods,

Is there any way that I can speed up the downloads from Youtube ?

I have to always wait a long time for the downloads before I can watch the videos..

Maybe it's also because the kids are playing their games on the other desktop ...

100Mbps.....hmmm...... of cos it is huge Winston :) but if the entire flat of 100 people are using it...then, no lah....it's spliced up...

another idea : go to unpopular restaurant with wifi, buy a kopi and surf there...

It's not exactly as simple as just buying more bandwidth. If your ISP is shaping the traffic (i.e. limiting the speeds for certain kinds of traffic, content from certain sites, etc.), then a bigger pipe won't help you also.

Given that you're based within the Great Firewall, haha, good luck. :D

in order not to "share"...if your telco offers, then you could get your own wifi broadband....get those wireless ones...so that you plug that modem into your m/c and you can move around... here in singapore, both singtel and m1 offers such "vodafone wireless modem"..cheap and good...

It's Good to Know: Verify That E-Mail Address

Have a contact list full of old e-mail addresses? Not sure if the e-mail on that business card you saved from a couple of years ago is still valid? Sent an important e-mail and haven't yet gotten back a reply?

In the old days, you took your chances whenever you sent a message to a "vintage" address. But now you can check first to make sure your e-mail will be received.

Simply go to verify-email.org and enter the address. The system will tell you if it still exists.

this is cool.... then, we all have no excuse to pretend our email addresses are invalid anymore.... eg, an old lover curiously sends you a note... better you just respond with a simple rejection than to pretend that email is no longer in use...
