Singapore student kills self after stabbing professor

SINGAPORE, March 2 (Reuters) - A final year engineering student from Singapore's Nanyang Technological University stabbed a professor on Monday before killing himself by jumping off a building, the university said.

Police spokesman Ivan Choo said the Indonesian student was dead when police arrived at 1047 local time (0247 GMT), while the professor was taken to hospital for treatment.

"The university is deeply shocked and saddened by what has happened. The matter will be investigated thoroughly," NTU President Su Guaning said in a statement.

Violence in schools or universities is rare in Singapore, considered to be a safe place by parents from neighbouring countries to send their children to study.

The real reason why US wants to save their auto industry....

Because they do not want to end up driving 'bar stool' around.

Woman kept robber as sex slave ........

http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2009/04/15/ ... 239833225/

KALUGA, Russia, April 15 (UPI) -- Russian police said a female hairdresser was arrested for allegedly keeping an unsuccessful armed robber bound as a sex slave for two days.

Web site Life.ru quoted police as saying the 32-year-old man entered the hair salon at about 5 p.m. March 14, brandished a gun and demanded money from workers and customers, The Moscow Times reported Wednesday.

However, the 28-year-old hairdresser, who had martial arts training, disarmed the man and bound him hair-dryer cord.

Police told Life.ru that the woman then allegedly kept the man gagged and handcuffed to a radiator for 48 hours. She is accused of forcing him to take Viagra and forcing him to have sex with her multiple times.

The woman let her prisoner go March 16 and he went to police after seeking treatment for injuries to his genitals.

The Web site said the man filed a complaint asking for the hairdresser to be brought up on charges for "actions of a sexual nature." The woman filed a complaint the next day seeking armed robbery charges against the man.

"I don't know what's going to happen now," Life.ru quoted a police source as saying. "We could put both of them behind bars: him for robbery, her for rape and assault."

BO (Barack Obama) keeps pulling out rabbits from his magician's hat including his genealogy :-
US President Barack Obama is coming to Germany again in June, but he won't be visiting Berlin. Instead, he is planning a more personal trip to Dresden and the concentration camp Buchenwald in search of his family history. There will be no photo op with Merkel in the Chancellery -- a deliberate move on Obama's part.

Inmate uses toilet paper cardboard to escape cell

AP - Thursday, June 25COLUMBIA, Mo. - Columbia police have captured an inmate who allegedly escaped from the Howard County jail using a cardboard toilet paper holder. Curtis Jones of New Franklin was captured Wednesday afternoon.

Columbia police officers, who were responding to a tip, went to where Jones was believed to be located, but he had fled on foot. Jones was spotted a short time later and taken into custody.

Jones had escaped early Monday. Authorities allege he used the folded cardboard to jam a door lock to his cell and fled when a jailer went to another area in the building.

Jones was detained on a theft charge on suspicion of stealing anhydrous ammonia, a chemical used to manufacture methamphetamine.

He previously escaped in 1996 from the county's old jail in Fayette by climbing through a hole in the ceiling

Description: The infamous Portable Rotary Phone is an original rotary phone that has been modified to be a cellular phone. The Port-O-Rotary has a functional rotary dial, rings the original, loud metallic bells when a call is received, and even has a dial tone.

Phone comes fully assembled and tested. All you have to do is open the phone, insert your SIM card, and turn the unit on! The unit will utilize your phone number and account minutes. The internal cellular module works within any country that has one of the 900MHz, 1800MHz, or 1900MHz cellular bands (90% of the world). The Port-O-Rotary is truly international with up to 15-digit dialing, auto-frequency selection, '+' characters, and PIN # entry for pre-paid cards.
Each Port-O-Rotary is an original rotary phone that has been specially modified. There may be small scratches and scraps on the exterior, also known as 'character'. The battery can run the phone for 4-5 days (yes days) and is charged by an external jack on the rear of the phone (charger included).
