Thanks grandrake,
you missed out Antarctica.

The easiest way to take a nice photo, is to go to a nice place.
How's that for a quote? :)

grandrake wrote:No, but he took a sabbatical from work and travelled for a couple of years (he's back working now, but travels when he can - just back from a long weekend at Lake Toba). His hope is to cover at least one country in each continent or region in his lifetime, so there's Central America, South America, Africa, Middle East that he's yet to cover. :D

He's done pretty well in some photo competitions in Singapore, as well as the Lonely Planet photo challenges in Flickr (look for the group in Flickr - they have a weekly challenge; winner gets a pick of some travel guides or photo journals I think).

i have never been to antarctica but i have seen it on tv (i love documentaries on travel and animals). It is indeed a beautiful place, u can find/see hundreds of seals and penguins there and not forgetting polar bears (not in the hundreds of course)

Haha, I like the lemur story-telling shot. Nice capture. :)

The Switzerland one - is that at Jungfrau, on the Aletsch Glacier?
