It is a deceitful web of corruption, buy-outs of politicians by the media. They were all on kissing terms, drinking terms and certainly smoking terms. And they had been seeing eye-to-eye for close to 15 years, all in the name of freedom of the press and democracy.

Rupert Murdoch, like many other old men, should retire early and stay behind the scenes.

They can still influence decisions behind the scene. Don't need to always hold on to power ...
1. Always wait for the setup. NO SETUP; NO TRADE

2. The trend will END but I don't know WHEN.

it is indeed very sad that an 80 year old man has to be questioned in public like this...
so you understand why some one has to ensure that his political party has to stay in power...because if that party fell, he could well be hauled to court for charges...and he is already way past 85....

I watched last night's live BBC interview with Norway's PM. The PM was so unhappy that he cut the interview short. That BBC reporter deserved to be told off. I had been following his interviews with law professors from Oslo University, the Norwegian press and members of the public standing outside the Oslo grand cathedral. That man's questions and leading style of interviewing is truly idiotic.

I remember their performances during the Mohammed cartoons incident. They were pathetic. The British media has sunk to dung level.

the level of politics here is a circus as well...

like it or not, the media is always intricately linked to the politicians..and journalists, however impartial they try, are influenced by their personal agenda and political inclinations... and it doesn't do society well when you only have a main media broadcaster, like BBC...although they have Sky News and other smaller stations which do not reach out to the masses.

Hi K :D
Exactly. This BBC reporter used the word "circus" and the Norwegian reporter was astounded and asked him "Why would a court proceeding (even if it involves Breviek reading statements explaining his action) be a circus? Yes, it might provide Breviek with the public platform that he wanted but why would it be a circus??"

Secondly, he kept casting doubts about the capability of the Norwegian police. The PM fumed and glared and said there would be a time to study what we had done, learnt what could have been better done. But this was not the time for this. But this idiotic BBC reporter pressed. The PM 'exploded' with a fierce glare and cut him off.
