i agree that one needs to be cash rich...in deep recessions, banks are always reluctant to lend...and so, only those with piles of dollar notes can benefit from the great singapore sale.

2013, maybe? if so, we have about 2 years to save up... for those bargain deals 8-)

Wow! few minutes ago my daughter said exactly this statement to me...90% of the content similar.
She based-on the glut of over supply flooding the market...Now Maybank FD pay her 0.7% p.a., she choose to wait.

well 2 more yrs ahead, its difficult to forecast, unless you have a crystal ball...truth cash is king during recession time...i remembered in Mar 2009, my cash very useful...buy cheap car, cheap share OCBC & Keppel Corp only $4.00 CDL only $5.00....Ppty FH/LH average below $600PSF plenty for you to pick & choose...many others lelong lelong

Come 2013, Roubini said a dangerous storm would come for the global economy:

Come Jan 2013, Gartmen said that the PIIGS would go bankrupt within 18 months.

So Chinaman's daughter, Kenny and I (of course  ) have the same brainwave

His key message is that the en-bloc owners added pressure to the resale market.

The truth is, as noted in his article, the market was already under pressure at that time (without the en-bloc activities).
