TOL:-

Who will win today ?

The short-sellers & profit-taking at day end ?

Or the short-covering and window dressing ?

Which is the path of least resistance ? So far, it has been to long the market ..

TOL:-

Can you feel the panic buying in HK today ?

I know because I was shorting it because I was trying to fill the gap.

In the end, I gave up because the buying were too strong for me.

What has change from yesterday to today ?

Window Dressing or Short Covering or Genuine Buying or all three ?

I too am very interested to know the answer to this question. I mean I saw nothing that has changed in the news except some sort of problem solving to the Greek drama? Clueless here and looking for answers...

If you found the answer please do share.

Thank you

As mentioned, I was Scalping and trying to fill the gap.

When something gaps up, it has a tendency to move downwards to fill the gap, before rebounding up again.

Thank you for the explanation. Sorry for not noticing you already explained. Its due to my lack of understanding of certain terminologies as I am still a rookie in trading.

very rare....look up above all index around the world all blue blue...which mean everywhere market up.

indeed a choppy market...very uncertain and difficult to predict....good to stay sideline

Keep cool during hot times for the index
Monday, July 18, 2011

Investors see 21,500 as a critical support point for the Hang Seng Index, which has followed Wall Street for the past few sessions.

Now comes a critical time. My worry is someone wants a fall to 21,300 for many bull warrants - notes betting on a market upturn - to be knocked out. So hold good shares and don't be fazed by the index.
