CN NDRC Proposes to Amplify F&B Service Consumption, Tap Potential of Prepared Food Mkt
The General Office of the State Council forwarded a notice from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on measures to restore and amplify consumption.
One of the proposals was to expand the consumption of food and beverage (F&B) services. It advocated healthy F&B consumption, opposed F&B waste, and supported localities in organizing food festivals, creating special food districts, and launching F&B consumption promotion events.
The notice also pointed out that the requirements relating to the extension of business hours of catering premises should be optimized in the light of local conditions.
China should also foster the model of "breeding base + central kitchen + cold chain logistics + catering outlets", tap the potential of the prepared food market, accelerate the construction of prepared food bases, fully realize the principles of safety, nutrition and health, and enhance the quality of catering and standardization of distribution.
