<Profit Warning>CHINA TAIPING (00966.HK) Sees Interim NP Slide 57%

CHINA TAIPING (00966.HK) issued a profit warning.

Interim net profit ended 30 June 2020 is expected to record a decrease by 57% year-on-year.

The net profit for the 2019 Interim Period was HK$6.744 billion.

Such decrease was mainly due to changes in tax policies in the PRC during the 2019 Interim Period which resulted in an increase in the consolidated profits of the Group, and the recognition of impairment loss during the 2020 Interim Period.
