More than 20,000 organizations leverage the Forcepoint platform to minimize cyber threats, and the platform's success has helped RTN bolster its commercial cybersecurity market reach.
In the second quarter of 2016, Forcepoint recorded net sales of $138 million, up from $57 million one year earlier.
This sector is expected to expand at a 10.6% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2016 and 2021. As a result, the segment could be worth $202.36 billion by 2021, making it exceedingly valuable for RTN.
In 2016, earnings from continuing operations came in at $7.45, up 10.2% from $6.76 in the year-ago period.
The company’s fourth-quarter revenues of $6,238 million saw a 1.4% year-over-year fall.
Revenues for full-year 2016 stood at $24 billion, up from $23.2 billion in 2015.
Guidance
Raytheon expects 2017 revenues in the range of $24.8 billion to $25.3 billion. It expects earnings from continuing operations at around $7.20−$7.35 per share.
The intermediate-range cruise missiles have a range of about 800 miles to 1500 miles and are equipped with a 1000-pound conventional warhead.
Each Tomahawk missile cost about $832,000 (£667,000).
