$NVDA is still trading below the kumo (bearish).

There’s a small doji form from yesterday, and currently price may break the support from Chikou Span at $14.31

I am short NVDA with a target price of $12.50
1. Always wait for the setup. NO SETUP; NO TRADE

2. The trend will END but I don't know WHEN.

Nvidia (NVDA) makes advanced graphics processing units (GPUs). These are the boards in your computers that translate code into images. And while there are a number of firms that make basic GPUs, NVDA is the top player for people, universities and companies that want serious GPUs.

NCDA has built its entire business on its ability to see the future — not only building the next generation products but also identifying the sectors that are at the technological tipping point for its vanguard systems.

Think of the massive new market in big data, or the visual rendering of genes and drugs and their interactions. Think 3D printing. This type of next-generation rendering is helping engineers find organic materials that can convert light into energy to build new, highly efficient solar panels.

Nvidia is the first choice for virtually all the leading scientific research organizations in the world. And this work has a direct impact on the kind of quality products it delivers to the marketplace. NVDA stock has reaped the benefits of that quality.

And one sector that’s been getting a lot of press in recently is the next generation of automobiles, including autonomous cars. Cars are becoming supercomputers on wheels, and NVDA is highly instrumental in making it happen.

NVDA stock is up 55% this year, and it’s just getting started.

THIS VIRTUAL-REALITY STOCK SCREAMS HIGHER

Virtual reality is hot... and one of the industry's "picks and shovels" businesses is soaring.

Regular DailyWealth readers are familiar with "picks and shovels." These companies don't bet it all on one project. Instead, they sell vital goods and services to an entire industry. Take Nvidia (NVDA), for example...

Nvidia's semiconductors are found in everything from Honda cars to IBM's high-end cloud servers. But it's mainly considered a leader in the graphics industry. (NASA recently chose the company to help create a virtual-reality system that replicates the Mars landscape.) That makes Nvidia shares a great gauge of growth and optimism in the sector.

As you can see, virtual reality is booming. Two weeks ago, Nvidia announced blowout earnings, pushing shares nearly 30% higher in just the last eight trading days. Overall, Nvidia is up about 220% over the past three years. The trend in virtual reality is up... for now.

Stellar Tech Stocks: Nvidia Corporation (NVDA)

Nvidia Corporation (NVDA) has been showing investors something special for some time … to the tune of a mouth-watering 170% climb over the last 12 months. The most recent thing that had Wall Street cheering this computer processor giant higher was its second-quarter earnings report.

In Nvidia’s Q2 (for fiscal 2017), sales hit record highs on the back of a 24% year-over-year expansion. That translated to strong earnings growth as well; GAAP EPS expanded by 56% year-over-year as well. For the cherry on top, Nvidia also offered investors strong guidance.

So what exactly is driving NVDA stock to such stellar outperformance? Well, the company’s technology powers video games, and is also being adopted by other booming industries — like those focused on self-driving cars, AI and big data.

Fall Stocks to Buy: Nvidia (NVDA)

Back in the day, investors used to talk about utilities, consumer staples — like toothpaste and shampoo — and health care companies as defensive stocks.

Well, it’s time to update the map a bit. While all of those sectors are still filled with good defensive stocks (as we’ve noted in SlingShot Trader), we need to expand our list of consumer staples stocks.

We consider Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) to be a consumer staples growth stock. When you look around you, one thing should be abundantly clear: Computers, mobile phones and tablets are everywhere, and they are only becoming more popular.

Within many of those electronic devices, you will find a processor created by Nvidia, because video processing is vital in many devices.

The reason we’d consider NVDA to be a consumer staples stock is because many younger people, if push came to shove, say they would choose to pay for their mobile device even if they had to miss a rent payment.

We think it is a growth stock because the company continues to expand into more and more devices that are in high demand themselves. Watch for NVDA to keep its uptrend intact.
