I am not a fan of ComfortDelgro.

I recall the times when without new competitors like Uber or Grab, they could not solve the problem of getting the cabs to where people need them.

Most measures rely on using surcharge as 'incentives'.

This Taxi Company Lost 11% of Its Value While Waiting for Uber

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... g-for-uber

ComfortDelGro Corp. has lost S$500 million ($370 million) in just four months -- on track to become Singapore’s second-worst performing stock in 2017 -- as investors lose patience over a planned venture with Uber Technologies Inc.

More than three months after the operator of Singapore’s largest taxi fleet said it is in talks with Uber Technologies Inc. for a potential alliance, nothing has been announced. ComfortDelGro has lost about 11 percent of its value since announcing the negotiations in August. The stock’s market capitalization has declined by $1.2 billion so far this year, mainly on concerns about its taxi business.

1. Always wait for the setup. NO SETUP; NO TRADE

2. The trend will END but I don't know WHEN.

($642m/12500 cars )/ 0.51 = $100705 per car

One recent - and now contentious - acquisition is Uber's Lion City Rentals, in which ComfortDelGro had sought to buy a 51 per cent stake. The deal pertains to around 12,500 cars.

The acquisition - ComfortDelGro's largest to date - will cost the group $642 million, with $295 million to be paid in cash, and the rest from borrowings.
