A *wild* random thought-of-the-day ...

I was checking the total institutional investors (as of Mar 2020 data announcement) was 81.86%.

Assuming Temasek continued to support with all the rights issue, the shares should dip further and with a potential loss of another "ugly" Q2, what is a realistic price for a bargain hunt? if the end goal is not for mere profits (we know it will take many quarters to achieve profits due to the stringent aircraft travelling guidance) , but a privatisation in time to come ................ ??? ie. a public float of 10% is necessarily to maintain listing ............

Looking to buy after I rotate out from KeppelCorp .................

There are many unknown variables in this sector right now hence that's why Warren Buffett decided to get out. How long will this pandemic last? Will the company need to ask for another round of financing? If the company decides to ask for another round of financing from Temasek for example, the deal would most likely be bad for minority shareholders whom will likely be squeezed.

He got out to play another round in ??
True that the effects of pandemic today will linger, just putting it on radar after rights issued, most retailers probably won't exercise their rights but lapsed it ...

An interesting price, I feel will be 2.5 to 2.99 (<3.00).
If it becomes a dollar will definitely maintain a toto buy.

Actually I was looking at Boeing during the drop in March because of its duopoly and its defense division(F15 aircraft) but I realised that it is at another end of the food chain. The airline industry needs to recover and they need to build up their balance sheet first before airlines will start to order aircrafts.

I think govts are investing in airlines because it is in their national interest else they would not have sink money into airlines at this moment.

My two cents worth

Thanks for the thought process :)

I am penciling "sensitive" dates herein:

1. The share and MCB rights will trade till 5pm on May 21. Investors who wish to exercise their rights must do so by 5pm on May 28. Am guessing most retailers will let it lapse.

2. 07/23/20Q1 2021 Earnings Release (Projected)

3. 11/10/20Interim 2021 Earnings Release (Projected)

From end May to mid July, might be a considerable amount of time to watch the prices in action ... prior to have a final decision re. What's a valuable price to pick up a low ball?

^^

Can it come down as low as a dollar? It will just slump all way into end of July ... Assuming business air travelling will be prioritized to be able to get some air crafts going, maybe we will see a glimpse of it in August September?

What's the price mirrored from Beoing now?
