Hi bros and sis,

I may sound like a moron for asking this but I rather be a fool for 5 mins then forever ignorant if someone could help to answer my qn.

I came across some stocks listed on SGX that are not traded. What does that mean? No stock price movement or anything. Does its listed but no IPO ever? I can't figure why does this situation occur. Are there any other Corporate reasons for getting listed on mainboard just like that?

Many thanks in advance

Not too long ago, there was a ticker "Goodwood Park Hotel". It was almost never traded for years.
Surely U know the reason why it was so    Maybe there are more "Khoo Teck Puat"s out there

Hi M,

I guess you are referring to mostly small caps stocks that do not have any daily traded volume for months. These were listed and maybe once hot. But our mkt is so small and amount of money limited that the punters have left them and now chasing after the next HOT STOCKS...

If you take the UPs and DOWNs on Singapore Exchange and add them up and compare them against the total number of stocks listed, almost 30-40% of the stocks listed have no daily traded volume...

Hope this helps.

mm

Hi,

I guess I will be more specific in which particular stock, Lim Kim Tah. I prefer not to menstion the post from our WS forum where its menstion. Look its buying its own stocks from its finance company, i presume its other shareholders selling back? but prices is not reflected in the 'open market'

Hi M,

I checked the Time and Sales for LKT. There hasn't been a single trade since Dec 3. See below. The last done was on Dec 2 so the price always reflect the last done.

Apparently alot of buying up till Dec 2 was done by Lee Kim Tah Investments Pte Ltd, Lee Soon Teck, Lee Yong Chuan Edwin. Insiders buying maybe to support share price??? Undervalued??

Not sure if this helps.

I like Jurong Point for his wide selection of shops.
But whether Lee Kim Tah is a good investment, that I dun know.
Valuations wise, it is not cheap compared to Guthrie, Sp Land and other more liquid property landlord stocks.
Unless there is M&A play, else might have to wait long long.

Dear All,

I have changed the name of this thread to "Lee Kim Tah".

I have also moved it into the "L" section of the SGX stocks section.

Take care,
Winston
