How do I prolong my life?

by Koon Yew Yin

Only eat to live and not live to eat

When I wake up in the morning, I drink 2 glasses of water, eat half a pineapple and a cup of coffee.

I will drink another 1 or 2 more glasses of water before lunchtime.

I usually drink more water than I really require. As a result, I urinate quite frequently. I do not have constipation.

Since my daily work is using the computer, I do not sit down longer than 1 hour at every one session.

I get out of my seat and walk about for a few minutes frequently to improve blood circulation and reduce stress.

Just worrying is useless. Whenever I have a problem, I have to think positively to find a solution. When I cannot find a solution, I will say to myself that time will change everything.

How to age well? Keep exercising, stay busy and be socially engaged, experts say

To beat the rising trend of dependency and frailty in older age, safeguard your physical and mental health through lifestyle changes, and learn new things

A daily 10-minute walk has been shown to slow our rate of ageing, and a plant-rich diet to support the gut-brain axis and lower the risk of having dementia

Aging is a Reality

We need to live our life in accordance with how things actually are—and you can, perhaps, see this reality most clearly reflected in your own aging body and mind.
