The guys on CNBC dont know what's Customer Experience.

The whole morning, they have been covering the Singapore Air Show.

Who cares about the Singapore Air-Show ?

And when you switch over to CNN, thoise guys are talking about Haiti 24/ 7. Yes, I'm sorry for what happened down there but I dont need to see it 24 / 7.

And if it's not Haiti, it's Afghanistan or Iraq as if there's no other news around the globe ..

Unfortunately, I cant get BBC anymore :(

Thanks K. I dont normally like to watch news on lap-top as it slows the machines. If need to, I will watch Bloomberg on lap-top ..

And the Singapore Air Show is still on CNBC

And Haiti is still on CNN

TV

Just flipped thru Discovery and saw the Myth Busters.

They are trying to see whether the stuff you read in Batman Comics are true or not eg. leaving an impression on a person's face from a ring that you are wearing when you punch etc.

What a waste of time and energy ! While millions are dying and starving these jokers have the time, energy and resources to build machines for useless pursuits ..

This technology could revolutionize the entertainment industry
By Braden Copeland in Inside Strategist:

This is not about a green lens and a red lens wrapped in a white paper "frame"...

If you've been around for a while, you may recall the first 3-D movie and television efforts. The glasses you had to wear were cheap and ridiculously uncomfortable.

The movies were low budget. Bad acting, bad jokes, and bad filmmaking were as ubiquitous as the headaches that came with watching the films. Serious filmmakers wouldn't consider touching the technology. It was garbage.

Today, it's completely different... 3-D is changing the movie and TV business, and the profits are incredible.

The 16 3-D movies released in 2009 amounted to a scant 3% of the 500 total films released, but accounted for 10% of total box office sales of $10.6 billion. So far in 2010, 3-D films have led box office sales nine out of 13 weekends.

James Cameron, director of the previously highest-grossing movie of all-time Titanic, spent four years filming his most recent blockbuster - Oscar-nominated Avatar - in 3-D.

He bet using the technology would be as significant as deciding to use color over black and white 70 years ago. He was right.

So far, Avatar has grossed over $2.7 billion worldwide and nearly 80% of that has come from 3-D ticket sales. Clearly, moviegoers and filmmakers are sold on the technology.

Now, 3-D is headed into the home...

Panasonic sold out of its brand new, specialized 50-inch 3-D TVs during the first week of sales. The company is now accepting backorders for the $2,899.99 3-D set.

Samsung has a 55-inch 3-D set selling for $3,299.99. The company just started advertising it during the NCAA basketball tournament (you may have seen their fish-tank commercial).

And Sony's big 3-D set is on the way in June...

I am not sure that our regular programming is even ready for 3D TV. In perhaps another 10 yrs... maybe??

HD TV has been out for almost 5 yrs now and we are only now slowly adopting it on a mass scale.

haha... I don't watch CNBC at night for more than 3mins now. He is boring...

He is just a filler, IMO. Doesn't do his homework and don't really have many intelligent questions to ask his guests.

He has no chemistry with his co-host... and at times, you can see his co-host rolling back her eyes..
