How angry is this? :)

I read somewhere that people who look at art like "The Scream" above or even Picassos everyday, will end up with mental problems.

I prefer to have peaceful arts around me :D

Of course, different people , different values so I will not impose my values on others. 8-)

Yeah, I think this Chinese painter's works were on display in Singapore some months back..

Here's something more soothing by Balinese painter Ida Bagus Indra ;) :)

So when I went to the Van Gogh Museum a few years ago, I did not really know how to enjoy his masterpieces.

The tour mentioned that his strokes were bold and full of anger. It was only then that I noticed it on his paintings, especially the self portraits.

It is alright. It is the painter's fault that he cannot capture your attention, your soul and your mind with his creation. Though it helps with an audio or visual guide when you walk through the museum.

One famous photographer said this before (cannot remember his name at this time of night), there are always 3 characters involved in a photograph; the photographer, the photographee, and the viewer. Deep, makes you think twice the next time you snap another picture.

I rcall seeing a self-portrait and he painted a lot of energy field around himself. Orange in color. Very angry :D

Having said that, I quite like his Wheat Field, Starry Night and Iris.

Wah ishak, Thanks for the kind pictures of Iris. Already made my day :D

Speaking of art, have you all seen the Mona Lisa ? Not sure which Museum it is in. Anyway, I was very disappointed with it when I first saw it. It was so small. However, after looking at it for some time, I did have a good feeling of the painting...

Take care,
Winston
