Long after the economic contraction has ended, “consumers will spend less on luxury goods than they did before the recession began,” Frankfort said at an April 28 investors’ conference. “We are adapting to what will be a new normal.”

A lot of them are also selling them back home as the price difference can be between 30% to 40% due to the high taxes in China.

Having said that, there's alot of money slushing around too, so some of those money would definitely end up in the pockets of the spouses and girl-friends ...

what you may not realize is that many of these chinese girls are kept women, ktv girls, and women in sleazy professions and they are there with their "boyfriends" who end up picking up the tabs...
