It's a sad day for me. We might lose the greatest golfer of mankind.

I'm not saying what he has done is ok. He deserve the punishment and he is getting it now. But he is only human, who knows what kind of temptation he experienced.

I feel sorry for his wife and kids too. Guess she must have thought she bought the best stock of all time without any stop loss strategy. Is she going to continue buy and hold?

Tiger remains my golf idol! Surely not my sex idol :p

Some random thoughts:-

1) Tiger's private life is his own business. However, being a public figure, the public expects him to behave in a "proper" manner.

2) So what is "proper" ? Since he's married, the public expects him to have only one partner.

3) However, if Tiger is a Muslim living in a Muslim country, he can have 4 partners

4) And if Tiger is not married ( but still has the two same kids with his current partner and are living together with them), is he allowed to have more than one partner ?

5) Hopefully, some good will come out of this situation for Tiger. This is probably the second episode in his Mid-Life Crisis. The first being the death of his father..

no one is infallible... we are all mere mortals... we are quick at times to judge others more so than ourselves... i have a rather good friend, who reminds me to curb my tongue whenever i unknowingly pass some unnecessary and caustic remarks...

K - I think you have got a good friend :)

I just feel sad for the kids, that's all. If a person committing adultery will just spend sometime thinking about the damage he/she will do to the well-being of the kids, then maybe they will think twice/thrice about enjoying 5mins of pleasure of the flesh vs inflicting psychological pain on their children.

If you love your children more than you love yourself....

When I was much younger and idealistic, I was quick to condemn. Being older and less self-righteous now (also more self-aware of my own faults), I realized when it comes to such matters, few men are gentlemen. Besides, I will have very few role models left if I were to brush off every tiger-like men. Benjamin Graham was a known womanizer. Warren Buffett knows that. If he had dropped Graham as a role model, it will be the worst trade ever made in mankind's history.

Tiger Woods is a role model for golf players. Hence, we need only care about his shots on the golf course, not his shots in the bedroom. What he does in the bedroom is none of our business. He owes no apologies to the general public. He just needs to apologise to his wife.
