Food4U reached out to the call for help from DBKL enforcement officers, of a family who has been sleeping under a shade along the UTC station.

The husband and wife from Pahang have been homeless ever since moving to KL.

Food4U has rented a room at Chow Kit and will help to find employment for them to settle down.

A little help can sometimes bring hope and smile to another person's life.

Greetings and good day.

Last week, I received a call about a homeless man with a chronic leg wound opposite HKL.

Unfortunately,he refused any help when the ambulance arrived.
2 days later, he passed away at the same spot that I left him.

I hope and pray this will not happen again under my watch.

Santammah is an amputee who lost her left leg due to diabetes. And she stays alone in a deplorable shade, which she rents.

She lost her job and without income, she depends on neighbours for food.
There are days she goes hungry whenever they do not provide her food.

I met Santammah and provided her a wheelchair. She has recovered from her operation and moves around with the help of a walking frame.

The owner was adamant about removing Santammah from the premise as she was in arrears for a few months.

I have addressed this issue and requested the owner to allow Santammah to continue staying.
I will be attending to her medical needs and appointment with Sungei Buloh Hospital accordingly.

There will be other needs and help that will allow Santammah to be self-reliant and look forward to a brighter future.
