Over the years, I go thru periods where I'm totally crazy about golf and then I totally gave it up..

It's been almost 2 months since I went to the driving range ( even though it's just 10 mins away ) and about 1.5 years since I actually played on a course...

Golf: Tiger Woods released from Florida hospital

MIAMI : Golf superstar Tiger Woods was released from a Florida hospital Friday following a car accident outside his home, his office and the medical facility said.

"Tiger Woods was in a minor car accident outside his home last night. He was admitted, treated and released today in good condition," said a statement from Woods' office and the Florida Health Central Hospital posted on the golfer's website.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said Woods, 33, crashed into a fire hydrant and then drove into a tree after leaving his property early Friday in the Isleworth community in Windermere, a suburb of Orlando.

The accident happened at around 2:25 am, FHP spokeswoman Kim Montes told AFP.

The FHP had been quoted in earlier media reports saying Woods was transported to the hospital in "serious condition," and Windermere Mayor Gary Bruhn told CNN that Woods suffered "some facial lacerations" in the accident.

Superstar Woods, a 14-time major winner, had been set to play his last tournament of the year at the Chevron World Challenge at Thousand Oaks, California, December 3-6 - an event he hosts annually.

The crash was still under investigation and charges could be pending, the FHP said, adding that that the incident was not alcohol related.

According to Forbes business magazine, Woods is the first athlete to have broken through the billion dollars earnings mark.

Aged just 25, he became the first man to win the US Open, the British Open, the USPGA and the Masters on a roll to make him the first simultaneous holder of all four major championship titles at the same time.

Earlier this month, Woods landed the Australian Masters but had returned home for a fortnight's break prior to playing in the World Challenge next week.

This year he landed eight titles after eight months out of action recovering from reconstructive surgery on his left knee, but failed to win a major.

Woods is married to former Swedish model Elin Nordegren and the couple have two children, Sam Alexis, born in 2007, and Charlie Axel, born earlier this year.

A PORN star has emerged as the latest alleged mistress tied to Tiger Woods, the world's number one golfer who is getting no respite from the media firestorm engulfing him due to a string of alleged affairs.

Veronica Siwik-Daniels, whose nom-de-flesh is Joslyn James, is popular in the adult film circuit for her roles in soft-porn movies. She specializes in kinky sex films and serviced Tiger's 'virulent sexual appetite,' reported Deadspin.com.

She has starred in the Emmanuelle 2000 series apart from TV shows like Lady Chatterley's Stories, according to ANI, which said Holly reportedly disclosed her affair with the golfer on a web radio station in May. She joined Holly Sampson, 36, as the second porn star alleged to have had a tryst with Tiger.

The revelation came as porn honcho Steven Hirsch offered US$1 million to any of Woods' alleged mistresses to perform in one of his fantasy flicks.

Another of Woods' alleged women, Jamie Jungers, reportedly benefited from Woods' largesse. An insider told Life & Style that Woods paid for plastic surgery for the wannabe model - including liposuction for her thighs. Jungers, according to the report, met Tiger in Las Vegas when she was a 'Trashy Girl' at Trashy Lingerie and the two allegedly carried on for a year despite his marriage and her engagement.

The billionaire superstar's allegedly bad behaviour is hurting his wallet. Gatorade has dropped the golf pro from its stable of stars, amid reports other sponsors were about to follow suit. Gatorade officials said their decision to drop 'Gatorade Tiger Focus' was made months ago and was unrelated to Woods' alleged extramarital affairs.
