Coach is affordable luxury. Many of the their ranges are made in China.
I have 4 Coach bags but no longer favor this brand. They no longer hve anything American abt them, be it design, leather or workmanship.

Hermes is way up there. It's premium.
LV is too loud for me.

OK, I'll juz stick to my old bags. I don't mean those around my eyes

It was really neat of Hermès to position the bag as an object of desire by engineering those waiting lists for the Birkin bags - you may have the money but you have got to wait in line. They make it so "expensive" and "inaccessible". Which lady would not be sated? White bull and fuchsia goatskin, anyone? ;)

And they have Lindsay Lohan and Victoria Beckham toting one. Even Martha Stewart goes to court with hers.

For those who find waiting in line off-putting, Hermès suggested establishing a relationship with a salesperson.

Some companies use "By Invitation Only" for their products and services.

But you need a good product and service first. People are not stupid.

Have you seen how busy the Vertu shops have been lately ?
It's all about "how much you made when you were right" & "how little you lost when you were wrong"

Agree.

They are probably doing things right to get the most discerning and demanding people to open their wallets.

To help make it a better shopping experience for the ladies.

Now that some shirts do not come with left breast pockets, there's no need for Mont Blanc pens anymore. Minimalist.
