The Foot of the Lighthouse

There’s a Japanese saying: “Darkness lies at the foot of the lighthouse”—meaning that by focusing too much on the distance, we may fail to illuminate what’s right at our feet.

An Incredible Inheritance

Every human being has an incredible inheritance from their ancestors and we can always call upon that to come through us and shift.

More than anything, it’s a shift in our perspective of what we’re up against.

Reside in Change

Reconciliation comes naturally when our hearts and minds reside in change.

Live Life to the Fullest

Now more than ever, it’s imperative to be able to differentiate between what we ought to hold on to and what we ought to let go of, in order to live life to the fullest.

The Radical Present

Experiencing the radical present doesn’t mean detaching from what comes next.

Faith in the Earth

The Earth is held in its perfect orbit and distance from the sun by all the gravitational forces of the universe, which, by the way, are also beating our hearts and breathing us.

If we need to have faith in something, perhaps that will do.

A Simple Gesture

Each of us, when in extremity, may, in that moment, find it impossible to escape the net of anguish but a single person with a simple gesture, can open such a door for us.

No Time to Lose

We don’t know how long our lives will be or what misfortunes we may encounter later that may make it difficult to make real moral progress.

So there is no time to lose!
