Beware the Foreign Exodus From Treasuries

By Lisa Abramowicz

$13.6 trillion Treasury market

Yields on 10-year Treasuries may not quickly shoot up, but they most likely won't plunge back to the lows of 1.36 percent seen in July.

Bonds (10 year): 2.42% versus 2.357%.

After surging to the 50 day MA's, TLT faded to test and we will see if it can make the break higher after testing the initial move.

Bonds (10 year): 2.398% versus 2.398%.

Gapped upside Wednesday, faded Thursday and Friday to test the last leg upside.

Not a bad setup to continue the nascent recovery off the December low.

Bonds (10 year): 2.42% versus 2.45%.

Bonds rallied Thursday and Friday, after selling earlier on the Yellen congressional testimony.

Still in the more recent 7 week range as they try to continue a move off the lows, but stuck at the 50 day EMA.

The yield on 2-year German government bonds hit record lows yesterday, and again today--trading to negative 90 basis points.

You pay almost 1% to loan the German government money for two years.
