The Law of Three

There are three legs to the stool of financial freedom: savings, insurance, and investment.

One of your major responsibilities, to yourself and to the people who depend on you, is to build a financial fortress around yourself over the course of your working lifetime.

To be fully protected against the unexpected, you require liquid savings equal to two to six months of normal expenses.

The Law of Investing

Investigate before you invest. This is one of the most important of all the laws of money.

You should spend at least as much time studying a particular investment as you do earning the money to put into that particular investment.

The only thing easy about money is losing it. If you think you can afford to lose a little, you're going to end up losing a lot.

Invest only with experts who have a proven track record of success with their own money.

The Law of Magnetism

The more money you save and accumulate, the more money you attract into your life.

The Law of Magnetism has been written about for more than 5,000 years. It explains much about success and failure in every area of life, especially in the financial arena.

The more positive emotion you associate with your money, the more opportunities you will attract to acquire even more.

Action Exercise

Take time every day, every week, and every month to reflect on your financial situation and look for ways to deploy your finances more intelligently.

The more time you take to think intelligently about your finances, the better decisions you will make and the more money you will have to think about.

I hve read his "Money Bible" and it's a very nice book ...

Stuart Wilde: The Mastery of Money

This video, filmed in 1986, might look out-of-date, but Stuart Wilde's wisdom is still ahead of its time here in 2011.

Wilde talks about money as energy, and teaches practical techniques on how to raise your energy quickly.

Once you do that, he says, people will be naturally attracted to what you are. And when they show up, bill em.

The Secret of Oz – Everything You Never Knew About Money

It is well known in economics academia that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum in 1900 is loaded with powerful symbols of monetary reform.

The yellow brick road (gold standard), the emerald city of Oz (greenback money), even Dorothy’s silver slippers (changed to ruby slippers for the movie version) were the symbol of Baum’s belief that adding silver coinage to gold would provide much needed money to a depression-strapped, 1890s America.

We believe Baum’s symbols represent the only solution to relieve the growing economic hardship here in America – and the rest of the world.

i think we can be happy without being wealthy.

it's a choice.

sometimes, when i sit quietly by a small river, the serenity is beyond what money can purchase.

however, in this material world we live in, an imperfect world, we constantly meet very shallow people who will sneer at the materially poor.

one way or another, most of us are guilty of prejudging those who drive big cars and live in big houses as successful and great beings. just look at how the world adores warren buffet, one of the wealthiest persons alive.

5 Ways to Buy Happiness by Craig Ballantyne

Here are 5 principles for increasing your happiness through monetary means.

1) Buy more experiences and fewer things

2) Use your money to help others.

My charity of choice, if you can call it that, is www.Kiva.org. Kiva allows me to loan money to entrepreneurs all over the world.

The loan is paid back over time and then I re-loan the money to another entrepreneur.

3) Buy many small pleasures instead of a handful of large ones.

4) Pay now but consume later.

5) Beware of comparison shopping

Develop A Prosperity Consciousness
By Brian Tracy

The starting point of all riches is the development of a prosperity consciousness. You must become a financial success in your thinking long before you achieve it in your reality.

Both poverty and riches are the result of a state of mind, and the most important single step you ever take on the road to wealth and financial independence is the decision to change your thinking, to impress into your mind an unshakable belief that you can and will achieve your financial goals.

Here are two of the most exciting principles ever discovered in the long search by mankind for the secrets of health, happiness and great personal wealth:

All Causation is Mental

The first principle is this. All causation is mental. That means that everything that you are or ever will be will be a result of how you use your mind.

Your entire life is an expression of your own thinking. And since the quality of your thinking determines the quality of your life, if you improve the quality of your thinking, you must, you will, inevitably improve the quality of your life.

The Law of Expectations

The second principle is what we call the law of expectations.

This law says that whatever you expect with confidence, positive or negative, becomes your reality.

If you confidently expect to succeed, if you confidently expect to learn something from every experience, if you confidently expect to become wealthy as a result of applying your talents and abilities to your opportunities and you maintain that attitude of confident expectations long enough, it will become your reality.

It will give you a positive optimistic cheerful attitude that will cause people to want to help you, and will cause things to happen the way you want them to happen.
