Ha Ha .. Risk-On means taking on risks eg. Commodities, Equities, AUD, EUR, CDN, Emerging Markets etc..

Risk-Off means taking off risks eg. USD, JPY etc

Down 1.6%
AUD @ 1.0179

Not that bad but maybe bad enough to bring back the fear in people.

The question is whether you want to be buying on the dip or for the inexperienced shorts, this could be their last chance to cover ...

TOL:-

Australian stocks up only 1% ?

They dont trust the US rally ?

Or are they selling into the strength and trying to get out before the week-end ?

Australian stocks down 0.8%.

The drop is less than expected especially when Commodities have dropped a lot and US stocks had a 2% correction.

What am I missing ?

TOL:-

Down 2.8% now. I think it was much lower than that earlier.

Within expectation and the lemmings are really running around today.

AUD @ 1.0046; Still weak

However, the Australian Index is flat today despite the weak lead from the US.

Did Obama's speech in the Australian parliament got everyone away from their computer screen down there ?
