Work in IT as a software developer, usually for government projects.

InvestIdeas: How long have you been investing / trading ?

OK, my life story…

First came to S’pore in 01, was amazed how cheap stocks were! Started FA, hung around the WS forum and started buying stocks with whatever money I had. Most did OK, up 50-100% in a few years.

Didn’t do well during 05/06, learned that value is ignored during the latter stages of a bull market, and stocks still cheap by then are cheap for a reason. Luckily I’d started looking at TA and learned to cut my losses.

Was out of the 07 bear mkt, started accumulating Nov 08, but was only 50% invested when the mkt took off in Mar.

About six months ago I decided I want to be finacially free… to at least have the option of not having to turn up at the office every day. Decided I need to learn and seriously practice TA, as FA is no use during most of the market cycle. Now, regularly attending TA classes and sitting and staring at charts most nights.
